This elective semester course is offered to 11-12 grade students. Students will gain more in-depth knowledge of nutrition, principles of food preparation and will develop an organizational skill of their own. Topics covered include food selection, preparation, meal planning, nutrition, ethnic influences, special needs diets and organization. Students will also gain an appreciation for their community through volunteer hours.
