For a basic understanding of Sociology, we do one set of chapter questions per week.  In addition to this, we have several mini courses: death and dying, aging, alcoholism, and crime.  Included in the crime study is the book In Cold Blood.  During the semester we take class trips, have several speakers, watch a series of movies, and read magazine articles.  No formal tests are given, but there are papers due at the end of each mini-course and quizzes over In Cold Blood.
