In welding, students will learn the basics of both arc and gas welding.  They will also learn basic metal identification.  Each area has requirements which assure the student of basic knowledge and hands-on experience.  The main thrust is for the student to be able to operate equipment safely, and do basic exercises.  Also a foundation for further study of a welding career or part of their career in a related field will be covered.
